OpenOLAT 8.4.0 stable version
OpenOLAT 8.4.0 is a fully featured learning management system written in Java. The source code is open source licensed and shared on a public mercurial repository. Use this if you are evaluating OpenOLAT or when you want to test the update procedure of you existing OpenOLAT system.
If you want to clone from our repository, please use the openolat84 release repository and not the openolat developer repository!

(For your convenience we updated the WAR file to 840_1 to include some 8.4.1 fixes we made just on the same day as we published 8.4.0)

OpenOLAT development version - cutting edge
OpenOLAT development version is a fully featured learning management system written in Java. The source code is open source licensed and shared on a public mercurial repository. Use this if you are an experienced java developer and want to modify the OpenOLAT code base.
Note: this is the cutting-edge-next-generation development version. It might contain unfinished or unstable code. For a productive setup, please use the stable version or if you want the sources, clone the repo from a release tag and not from default!

OpenOLAT demo courses
The demo courses provide you with examples on how to create content for learning, communication, collaboration or other context. As an OpenOLAT author, just download the demo course you are interested in, and import it into OpenOLAT.
- Demo Course "Teaching" This demo course provides you with some examples on how to create e-learning content for online teaching and learning with OpenOLAT. Size: 6 MB
- Demo Course "Communication" This demo course provides you with some examples which course elements are suitable for communication, collaboration and discussion in OpenOLAT. Size: 48 MB
- Demo Course "Assessment" This demo course provides you with some examples which course elements are suitable for assessment and/or evaluation in OpenOLAT. Size: 1 MB
- Demo Course "Exercise" This demo course provides you with some examples which course elements are suitable for online supported exercising and practising in OpenOLAT. Size: 100 KB
